美国喜剧/剧情电影《毕业生》，于1967年上映，由迈克·尼科尔斯导演，CharlesWebb CalderWillingham 编剧，影片讲述了霍夫曼扮演的大学生刚踏上社会，对未来生活感到十分茫然。毕业晚会上，徐娘半老的鲁宾逊太太对他产生了浓厚的兴趣。在这位风流夫人的不断挑逗下，加上日子过得越来越无聊，本恩不久后便开始了同鲁宾逊太太的约会，也因此邂逅了太太的漂亮女儿伊莱恩。伊莱恩的纯洁善良使本恩怦然心动并深深地爱上了对方。虽然本恩终于找到机会向伊莱恩表白了爱意，但两人的感情很快遭到鲁宾逊太太极力反对，而伊莱恩最终也猜到了自己母亲与本恩的特殊关系。伤心之余她选择了一个自己并不喜欢的男孩仓促结婚。本恩得知这一消息之后，不顾一切向教堂冲去。他的努力，能否阻止这场没有幸福的婚礼？而他们能否突破重重阻力，获得真正的爱情呢？。
